Argonaut GR2 Gravel Racer

Gravel riding doesn't really exist in the UK like it does in the US but the market is still developing at a rate of knots as riders seek to explore more and taken the unbeaten path they've always looked down away from the road. I've always loved the look of Oregon-based Argonaut cycles and this new 'Gravel Racer' GR2 is no different. Argonaut first debuted the bike at the 2015 North American Handmade Bicycle Show in Charlotte, North Carolina, winning 'Best in Show'. Not a company to rush into a new trend but instead let the dust settle on the explosion of gravel riding and deliver a perfect bike, its now finally live on their website. Weighing in at 16lbs with a rider-specific geometry and industry-leading carbon layup procedure that delivers a ride customised to the customers spec. It's a bike designed with a short chainstay length for great acceleration and a lively feel to deliver speed on a wide variety of conditions. It's the perfect tool for a weekday hammerfest set up with 28c tires and traditional road gearing, or a brutal 8 hour gravel race when equipped with wide range gearing and 38c tires.

Check out the specifications and promotion film below and more information at Argonaut.
